Summary
Annual estimates were produced for mortality due to tuberculosis among HIV-negative individuals at the second administrative level for seven Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO) member states between 2000 and 2017. The estimates are by sex and age group in the 0-80+ year range and cover Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, and Mexico. These estimates were produced using seven second-level administrative division data sets from national vital registration systems.
This dataset includes the following:
- CSV files of tuberculosis mortality estimates for each country at second-level administrative divisions for 17 age groups and 2 sexes spanning 2000-2017
- Code files used to generate the estimates
- Shapefiles used to inform the estimates
